Team Myles..pushing forward..together!

This is a whole new experience for me in many ways. I’m used to running/training by myself, so having organized training sessions with a group of people and a trainer is a committement not only to myself, but to the Team. It didn’t take much to feel the connection with Team Myles after our first run at Point Pleasant Park –  we start off with a few stretches to warm up and then into our team cheer. Wheather it’s hill’s night at Citadel Hill or our longer Saturday run, we always take a team photo afterwards to capture the moment!

Team Myles consists of a variety of people with different levels of experience when it comes to running. The support that we have for each other and the common goal to train hard for the Blusenose 10k together…it shows. We are all dedicated and committed individuals!

When I started this journey, I didn’t know the full meaning of what the Bluenose Marathon was all about. It doesn’t just stop at the marathon, it’s a life choice to be active and to maintain it. Everybody has to start somewhere! It’s usually falling into a new routine, then you’re hooked!

A bit of encouragement to help us out along the way. A big shout out to – Paul Makinen at LifeMark Health for checking out my feet and suggesting my awesome new running sneakers. It was very beneficial to see Paul, I recommend to anyone who leads an active lifestyle to go see him. Brooks, thank you for giving all Team Myles members a discount on new kicks – “feels like running on air”. Recharge with Milk, thank you very much for the swag – the Recharge with Milk hoddie came in handy on a hills night, kept me nice and warm! And of course, thank you Devin Sherrington our trainer from 360fit. Devin has offered Team Myles complimentary classes while we are in training. Devin – you’re a machine!
